Music: Pickin’ in the Pines with Tommy Edwards on Wednesday

Cary, NC – On Wednesday, September 5, 2012, Booth Amphitheatre in Cary kicks off its Pickin’ in the Pines Bluegrass Series with the legendary Tommy Edwards.

We’re excited to announce the Pickin’ in the Pines Bluegrass series at Booth Amphitheatre!

Every Wednesday in September we’ll welcome a different bluegrass artist to our Crescent Deck from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. So come on by and enjoy some fantastic bluegrass music with drinks and food from our kitchen.

Feel free to bring the whole family! Tickets are only $5 for adults, and children 12 and younger get in for free!

Picnics are welcome (no alcohol please) and pets on leashes are welcome to roam our spacious lawn.

Tommy Edwards

The Bluegrass Experience, lead by Tommy Edwards, a former World Champion Band at the Union Grove, North Carolina competitions and have played strictly professionally since winning that award in 1972. They have played over 450 times at Chapel Hill’s Famed Cat’s Cradle and have appeared all over the eastern United States as well as at festivals in Northern Ireland (with The Steep Canyon Rangers who tour with Steve Martin) and at the Finnish National Folk Festival as The United States’ only official representative out of over 1000 plus performers.
