Movies by Moonlight – Secretariat (PG) – Koka Booth Amphitheatre, gates open at 7 PM, movie starts at dusk. Adults $3, kids under 12 free.

Fifth of Blues – Rallypoint, 1837 N Harrison Ave. Music starts at 8 PM.

Farmers Markets (Downtown, Waverly and Western Wake) – Saturday morning. Peaches, melons, corn, tomatoes and peppers are in season, along with an astounding variety of farm-fresh produce.

Downtown Cycling Race – Information has been a little scarce, but Downtown Cary will be partially closed off on Saturday afternoon for a “closed course” cycling race. Co-sponsored by Cycling Spoken Here and Town of Cary, different age groups and categories of riders will race inside a one mile loop from Eat Chatham, up Academy and across Park Street. Spectators welcome!

PineCone returns to Sertoma – 6 PM. PineCone returns to Sertoma Amphitheatre in Cary  Saturday night with master Piedmont bluesman John Dee Holeman and Tad Walters! Holeman (born 1929 in Hillborough, NC) is a National Heritage Award Fellow and Walters has been playing blues professionally since he was just 17 years old. Free event.
