Teaching Young Drivers a Lost Art – Car Care

Cary, N.C. –  Atlantic Tire & Service will be holding free car care clinic specially geared toward teens on Sept. 22 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at  1380 Northwest Maynard Road.

The upcoming clinic will teach young drivers how to maintain their vehicle on a day-to-day basis and what to do in an emergency situation.

Making Your Car Last, Maintenance and Safe Driving Habits

Topics to be covered include: how to make your car last longer, how and when to check fluids, the proper way to jump-start your battery, how to check air pressure and tread on your tires, how to change a tire and basic care safety in emergency situations.

Prizes!

All attendees will receive a take-home bag that includes oil change coupons, digital tire pressure gauges and other great gifts. Prize drawings will include an iPod and iTunes gift cards. The evening will also include light snacks and refreshments.

“It’s really critical for teens and young drivers to have the confidence and know-how to feel comfortable behind the wheel of their vehicles,” said Anthony Blackman, owner of Atlantic Tire & Service. “We at Atlantic Tire are excited to present this opportunity to teen drivers because we know how important it is for teens to learn the basics early.”
