Business: Cary Innovation Center Set to Open

Cary, NC – Raleigh has one. Durham has one, too. Now Cary is set to get its own Innovation Center supporting entrepreneurs and start-ups.

Calling All Start-Ups and Entrepreneurs

At the Heart of Cary meeting last Thursday, Bill Warner of Entredot announced the debut of the Cary Innovation Center (CIC).

The plan is to create office space, mentoring and networking for start-ups and entrepreneurs in Cary, especially those with a focus downtown.

To help get the ball rolling, CaryCitizen helped create CIC’s new website.

Office Space

Warner, along with Bill Sarine and Brad Leinhart, are working with Cary entrepreneur Sheila Ogle to get space on the second floor of Olde Cary Commons building at the corner of Harrison Avenue and Chatham Street. The space formerly housed MRPP.

Resident members of CIC will be able to rent office space with all the amenities – printing, wifi, conference areas and more.

Mentoring Services

CIC plans to offer members concentrated mentoring services with an eye toward growing big ideas into viable enterprises and employers.

Seminars, Networking and Business Events

The Cary Innovation Center will also offer regular seminars, networking and business events to members and non-members, becoming a hub for entrepreneurial activity in downtown Cary.
