Story and photo by Hal Goodtree.

Cary, NC – CaryCitizen is pleased to welcome Jimmy Orban as its new Manager of Media Services.

Helping Businesses Get Exposure

Jimmy’s job is to help businesses connect with customers in Cary (and surrounding areas).

His job is more than just banner ads. Jimmy can craft a whole marketing plan and recommend ways to improve your website, sponsor a story or stand out in one of our Cary Guides.

All the tools we use on CaryCitizen, we also use for business. As Manager of Media Services, Jimmy is the gateway to creating a meaningful presence on the web.

If you want to get in touch, you can send him an email: Jimmy.Orban@CaryCitizen.com.

About Jimmy Orban

Jimmy Orban comes to CaryCitizen from the Rock Hill Herald, a publication of The McClatchy Company.

He was born in Charlotte and grew up in Weddington, NC, a suburb of the Queen City. Jimmy is a 2010 graduate of Appalachian State with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Marketing.

I asked Jimmy a couple of questions for this story:

What do you like to do in your spare time? “I like to run half marathons and watch sports.”

Favorite thing about Cary (Jimmy just moved here from Charlotte three days ago): “Ham sandwich on a croissant with apples, greens and honey mustard at Dorry’s Downtown.”

Why you decided to work at CaryCitizen: “Working in advertising sales in the past, I felt this would be a smooth transition.  Working for a small company instead of a large corporation has many advantages and I felt like this would be a great fit for both parties.”

You’ll be seeing a lot of Jimmy around town – at Chamber events, Heart of Cary meetings and elsewhere. Probably Dorry’s, too. Please give him a warm Cary welcome.
