Abba Comes to Cary – Tix on Sale Friday

Cary, NC – The concert season continues to take shape at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary with the addition of “ABBA – The Concert” on Saturday, August 11, 2012. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 30.

For a decade beginning in 1972, ABBA topped the pop charts, selling over 375 million records worldwide. It’s safe to say they are the biggest band to ever come out of Sweden, maybe the biggest band ever from a non-English speaking country. The band’s name is an acronym of its members: Agnetha, Benny, Björn and Anni. ABBA was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.

Bigest hits in the U.S. include Waterloo, Dancing Queen and S.O.S.

    “Members of the original ABBA band” = a couple of the session musicians who played on ABBA’s records and concert tours, not any of the four members of ABBA themselves
