Cary, NC – Lots of exciting stuff going on at the Cary Chamber of Commerce in the next few weeks. Here are a few of the highlights.

This Week – Education Meeting

  • Wednesday, April 11, 2012 – 12 Noon – Chamber Offices

Cathy Moore, the Deputy Superintendent for School Performance with the Wake County Public School System, will be the speaker this month. The event is free for Chamber members but advance registration is requested.

Next Week – Business After Hours

  • Thursday, April 19, 2012 – 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. – TrustAtlantic Bank – 3685 S.W. Cary Parkway

Join fellow Chamber members for food, networking and fun! This is one event you won’t want to miss. No registration required.

Elected Officials Reception

  • Wednesday, April 25, 2012 – 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Rub shoulders and exchange opinions with elected officials from Cary, Wake County and the State of North Carolina.

The annual Elected Officials Reception is at The Matthews House in downtown Cary and is free and open to all Chamber members.

Transportation Breakfast

  • Friday, April 27, 2012 – 7:30 a.m. – Herb Young Center

Join area business leaders, elected officials, and transportation partners at the Herbert C. Young Community Center in downtown Cary—less than 1/4-mile from the new Cary train station—to hear legislative leaders discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with advancing higher speed rail between North Carolina, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Register for the Transportation Breakfast.

Small Business Excellence Awards

  • Thursday, May 10, 2012 – 12 Noon – Embassy Suites Cary

Join the Chamber for the 25th Annual Small Businesses Excellence Awards Banquet. The event will recognizes Employer of the Year, Community Service Award, Innovation Award, and the Small Business of the Year Award, as well as the Entrepreneurial Award in Education, the Charitable Partners Award, and Sustainability Award.

Cost is $35 per individual. Register for the Small Business Excellence Awards.

Chamber 50th Anniversary Celebration

  • Tuesday, May 22, 2012 – 5:30 p.m. – The Cary Arts Center

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Cary Chamber! Join members for an evening of lively entertainment and exquisite food and drink. Cost is $50 per person. Register for the 5oth Anniversary Celebration.
