Cary, NC – Calling all Republicans and Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, Undecideds and Unaffiliateds. It’s time to come together and vote. Here’s how to find your polling place for the election on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. 

Find Your Polling Place

Your polling place is where you vote. It can change from time to time depending upon the election.

If you’re not sure where to go, new to the area or just want to check, North Carolina Board of Elections has a handy online tool:

NC Voter Lookup

You enter your name, date of birth and county. No sign-up is required.

Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see your voter info, precinct and polling place location.

Get a Sample Ballot

On your Voter Info page, there’s a link to see your official Sample Ballot.

You can print it out and bring it with you. But, remember, you can’t use your cell phone at a polling place.

Bond Issues on the Back

Remember, Bond issues are on the back of the ballot.

Also remember, “Straight Party Voting” does not register a choice for  judges, bond issues, non-partisan offices or President of the United States.

Every Vote Matters

Some candidates will win by landslides. Other races may come down to a few votes – maybe yours.

The polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day in North Carolina.

Curbside voting is available at every polling place for persons with disabilities.
