You can meet Cookie Mouse at Barnes & Noble (a creation inspired by the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie), Grammy winner Jeremy Kittel brings his music to Cary Arts Center, there’s live music at Dean’s and the Vagina Monologues at Page-Walker.

Waverly Farmers’ Market opens on Saturday morning, joining the WWFM and Downtown markets which have been open for a couple of weeks. Last week at the farmers’ market I bought some delicious yellow tomatoes, beet greens which I sauteed with garlic and oil and a bag of arugula.
At 10 AM, there’s a Historic Downtown Walking Tour, Great Grapes wine festival all day at Booth Amphitheatre, Childrens Day Festival at Sertoma, 7th Annual Bats for Matt baseball tournament at Green Hope High School, Farmer Jason at Cary Arts Center, The Swang Brothers downtown, RailHawks Latin Night, and another performance of Vagina Monologues.
