Seven O’Clock Swing – The Seven O’Clock series in downtown Cary is like a big block party – the streets are closed, the merchants stay open late, there’s food, music and dancing. Yes, dancing in the streets. This week features the NC Revelers Orchestra, plus some dance lessons. It don’t mean a thing if you ain’t got that swing. 7:00 in downtown Cary; free.

Pig Pickin’ in the Park – 27th Annual, sponsored by the Cary Rotary Club. 4:30 – 7:00 PM at the Cary Senior Center in Bond Park.

NCAA Div II Baseball Championship Game – The tournament continues all this week and wraps up Saturday night at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary. The NCAA has a great D2 Baseball mini-website with stories and standings and stats about the tournament, and every picture is from Cary, NC.

NC Symphony at Booth Amphitheatre – the North Carolina Symphony makes its summer home at Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. This week, it’s a program of music from the movies including the James Bond films, “Out of Africa,” “Indiana Jones,” “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Gone With The Wind.”
