Business: New Store Openings Gear Up
Cary, NC – In another sign of business vigor here in Cary, there are a number of new store openings to report. From the Cary Towne Center to Waverly Place, Stonecreek, Preston Corners, Grace Park and Park West, things are happening in and around Cary.
Dave & Busters
November 6, Dave & Busters will be bringing a fun-filled experience to shoppers at Cary Towne center. In a major renovation, towards the back side of the mall near Belk, the 26,000 square foot location will be the 65th location in North America.
The restaurant game and special event area will be open seven days a week. They serve “American Fare” like burgers, steaks, seafood and pasta, along with “signature items” like Bacon Wrapped Medallions, Lawn Mower Salad and pretzel dogs. Feel like a cocktail? Try Miami Sno Cone (not for the kiddies!) Million Dollar Marguerita. The space will also feature large screen hi-def televisions for sports viewing.
The Big Attraction is the gaming area. Let the kids game while you kick back with a cocktail. The restaurant boasts over 140 games including Temple Run, Cut the Rope, Dark Escape and Dixie Chicken.

They are hosting a 3 -day Grand Opening Event hosting November 1st, 2nd and 3rd to kick off the holiday baking season. The event will feature free holiday-focused mini-cooking classes. Whisk is open Monday thru Saturday 10am – 6pm and Sundays noon- 5pm. in Waverly Place, 316 Colonades Way in the upper level.
New Store Openings at Park West
Over at Park West, Phases II and III are busily going up surrounding the areas near Gander Mountain and the Stone Movie Theater. Their website shows Carter’s children’s store coming in November. But that’s not the only coming attraction at Park West.
ULTA is expected to open soon. Listed as sometime in 2014, the newest Big Box retailer to the center will be located next door to Gander Mountain on the NC 54 side of the center. ULTA Beauty is a beauty retailer that provides one-stop shopping for prestige, mass and salon products and services. Their beauty products include cosmetics, fragrance, haircare, skincare, bath and body products and salon styling tools, as well as salon haircare products. ULTA Beauty also offers a full-service salon in all of its stores.
Other new store openings expected soon include: Chico’s and its subsidiaries Soma Intimates and White House – Black Market in 2014. Chico’s is a specialty retailer of private branded, sophisticated, casual-to-dressy clothing, intimates, complementary accessories, and other non-clothing gift items. The Company operates 600 Chico’s boutiques and 100 outlets, 402 White House | Black Market boutiques and 45 outlets, and 206 Soma Intimates boutiques and 16 outlets, throughout the United States, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
Other new store openings listed as “coming soon” include Firebirds and Bad Daddy Burger near the movie theater and Noodles and Co. These are imminent.
Other New Store Openings
In Stone Creek Shopping Center, Republic of Yoga recently opened in the space that Triangle Pilates left to move across the street to their new location in Cornerstone.
In Morrisville’s Grace Park, Cucina di Milano opened in September featuring authentic Italian cuisine. Around the corner, Trali, the latest Irish Pub in the area, finally opened after several delays. They have live music and a cozy interior serving that creates the feel of a real Irish pub.
In Preston Corners, soon to open is Peak Olive Oil, a franchise moving from a sublet space in Sorrells in Downtown Cary.
Retail, service and restaurant business is looking pretty upbeat, especially central Cary.

I am really looking forward to Dave & Busters. I have not been to one of those in years and it really appeals to the kid in all of us.
Thanks for the heads up Lindsey.
