Carolina Pottery Open on Kildaire Farm Road
Cary, NC — Carolina Pottery, with its new location in the old Kmart, is open for business on Kildaire Farm Road. The first word that pops into my head to describe it is “vast”.
Carolina Pottery Open on Kildaire Farm Road
According to an employee, the new Carolina Pottery opened its doors one week ago on Thursday, March 13, 2014. It’s a soft opening, with an official ribbon-cutting in April.
The shelves were fully stocked. They’re open for business and ready to go.
Unlike the previous location on Harrison Avenue (now a Bass Pro Shops), Carolina Pottery owns the former Kmart building. They paid nearly $3.3 million in September of 2013, according to Wake County records.
Carolina Pottery has opened up the space – all 96,000 square feet of it. Bass Pro, at over a 100,000, is a bigger store, but it is broken up into smaller spaces. Carolina Pottery seems vast.
Row upon row of neat and well-ordered shelves give way to wide aisles between sections of merchandise. Displays break up the floor plan, showcasing different environmental settings.
It’s everything you love about Carolina Pottery – picture frames and floral arrangements, kitchen ware and cushions, garden and sunroom decor. And, yes, pottery.
A Slice of Home Decorating Heaven
If you are a fan of home crafting and home decorating, the new Carolina Pottery will seem like a slice of heaven to you. A very large slice.
Make sure you have plenty of time to shop around.
