Cary, NC — On Saturday, April 25, 2015, join the Cary Woman’s Club for a “Flamingo Fling” Lily Pulitzer fashion show and brunch. All event proceeds will support the Mature Woman’s Scholarship fund, a program that helps older women further their education.
A Flamingo Fling
Although men and women are both invited to the Cary Woman’s Club’s upcoming Flamingo Fling, the event sounds like a perfect afternoon of girly, fashionable fun.
Better yet, it’s all for a great cause.
On Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 11 am-2 pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church, the Cary Woman’s Club and Ashworth’s Prim & Proper Boutique will host a fashion show and brunch to benefit the Cary Woman’s Club’s Mature Woman’s Scholarship. Tickets, which are only $20, are tax-deductible, and all proceeds benefit the scholarship.
Brunch, Elvis & Lily Pulitzer
Well worth the ticket price, the event will feature brunch, “Elvis” performances, music from the Cary School of Music and an exciting Lily Pulitzer fashion show for women of all ages. Flamingo Fling models will include girls and women of all body types from ages 5 to 60+.
Ashworth’s Prim & Proper Boutique is also offering a generous $20 discount on apparel seen at the fashion show or in the store on the day of the fashion show. The discount will be for those who show their fashion show ticket at the time of purchase.
The Mature Woman’s Scholarship
A “Mature Woman’s Scholarship” goes to an older woman who wants to continue or get back into universities or technical colleges. While the scholarship can be accredited to any school, most of these scholarships are used for women taking classes at Wake Tech. Last year’s recipient was a both a nursing student and a single mom with three children.
The Cary Woman’s Club is a 501(c)3 charity and service organization. Every year, the club’s many fundraisers earn money for at least two higher learning scholarships. One always goes to a graduating high school senior at one of Cary’s high schools who is going on to college.
