Paint Together

Enjoy a special Mother’s Day Sunday food truck rodeo and painting class at Cary’s Wine & Design. For $25 a person, participants will paint a 10 x 20″ canvas of a flower patch. There will be food trucks parked outside for the event, but feel free to bring your own beverages. Painting begins at 10 am; arrive by 9:45 am to order food.

Enjoy a Free Concert

On Mother’s Day, starting at 2 pm, PineCone and the N.C. Museum of History will present a free concert featuring The Buck Stops Here, a band that combines four-part harmony, funky bass, and American roots music styles. Seating is free, but arrive early to ensure your spots.

VocalMotion, SAS Institute’s show choir, will also perform a free, Broadway-inspired concert outside at the Sertoma Amphitheatre in Bond Park on Sunday afternoon from 3-4 pm.

Walk Around a Craft Festival

It’s just a coincidence that the Downtown Cary Food & Flea falls on Mother’s Day Sunday, but it’s also perfect timing! Food trucks, music and a charming display of local artists and vendors will fill Ashworth Village on Sunday from noon-4 pm, making the festival a great way to spend time outdoors with Mom.
