Durham Bulls and the Pleasures of Spring Baseball
Durham, NC — The Triangle is rich in many things, and one of them is baseball. Nothing beats the simple pleasure of an an early season game at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Dollar Hotdog Night
Last night was dollar hotdog night, and the park was packed for a Game between the Durham Bulls (20-15) and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (16-18), the Triple A affiliate of the New York Yankees.
The evening was mild, even a bit cool for May. Perfect baseball weather.
Spring Promotions at the Bulls
The Bulls went down in the end, but spring is a great time to catch a game before the heat of the summer sets in.
Spring also features lots of promos and special events at DBAP like $1 concessions on Thursday and Fireworks Friday. This Saturday (May 16, 2015) is Star Wars night (very popular), when players wear special Star Wars-themed jerseys.
Tuesday home games are 2-for-1 for terrace seats if you show your Kangaroo Express app at the ticket window. Who doesn’t like ROOcups?
Some games offer 15% off if you bike to the game. Did you know the American Tobacco Trail rides right from Cary to Durham Bulls Athletic Park?
Check out all the spring promotions at DBAP or get tickets.
