Business Bits: What’s New in Cary?

Business Bits

Cary, NC — Each month, look for our Business Bits column, where we’ll highlight “been-here-awhile,” brand new and opening soon businesses in Cary and Morrisville.

Now Open in Cary

We drove around last week to scope out new businesses. These are now open.

Restaurants

GOJI Bistro, 100 Maynard Crossing Court, Cary, NC
Perhaps you remember that GOJI Bistro, which has been open on Maynard Road for awhile now, used to be NeoAsia. Before that, it was NeoChina (yes, we’ve been in Cary that long!). The new GOJI features Chinese cuisine in a trendy, sleek environment.

Penn Station East Coast Subs, Park West Village, 1013 Market Center Dr., Cary
This sub shop recently opened in Park West Village. It’s a fast-casual restaurant with almost 300 stores located across the country. Penn Station is known for grilled, made-to-order sandwiches, hand-squeezed lemonade and fresh-cut fries. Another store, opening soon near Cary Towne Center (see below) will be the first location to feature the brand’s new interior design plan.

Brixx Wood Fired Pizza, 1111 Parkside Main Street, Cary
Two Brixx restaurants have come to Cary in the past couple of months. This one is now open in Parkside Town Commons, and a soon-to-be Brixx will open in Bradford Place.

Pita Bon, 1207 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary
Pita Bon, a Mediterranean restaurant, recently opened in Kildaire Plaza (the shopping center behind the Kildaire Farm Road Starbucks). The family-owned business features traditional cooking with a modern touch.

Chocolate Coins

Foiled Again! Chocolate Coins, James Jackson Ave.,Cary
Foiled Again! relocated to Cary from Texas last month. You can order custom-made and Belgian chocolate coins (in 2,000 designs!) online through their website. The production facility is located on James Jackson Ave. in Cary–look for a story next week for an “inside look.”

Boutiques

Diva’s 21, 121 East Chatham Street, Suite B, Downtown Cary
A trendy, new boutique now calls Downtown Cary home–we’ve already stopped in to say hi and made a purchase. The owner is kind, the clothes are fun and colorful, the prices are reasonable and women of a variety of ages can find a piece for their wardrobe there.

Vaporizer Store

Chateau Vapes, 240 Grande Heights Drive, Cary
We mentioned Vape Escape in our last Business Bits, but here’s another vape brand in the area. This new vaporizer store is also a lounge with many flavors of vapors for e-cigarettes, and it’s located at the corner of Harrison Avenue and NW Maynard Road.

Grand Openings Coming Up

BlackBolt CrossFit, the newest way to workout in Cary, will hold a grand opening celebration on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 9 am-3 pm at their 1248 NW Maynard Road location. The event will feature a fun workout, and you’ll receive free food if you try it!

Burger 21 (see below) will open on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 14220 Bradford Green Square in The Bradford Shopping Center. To celebrate, the restaurant will donate 10 percent of all proceeds from the first two days of business to the Cary Family YMCA and will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.
