Pageant

Cary, NC — The Miss Heart of the USA scholarship will host a pageant and food drive at 2 pm on June 13, 2015 at The Point Church, 1503 Walnut Street in Cary.

Miss Heart of the USA Pageant

The Miss Heart of the USA pageant emphasizes the importance of giving back and empowers contestants to tune in to their community needs. The pageant’s philosophy is: You are never too young, and it’s never too late, to get involved in community service.

That’s why the Miss Heart of the USA pageant has an age division for everyone.

Contestants of All Ages

Miss Heart of the USA is a unique pageant in that it features contestants of all ages.

Categories include:

  • Baby Miss (0-23 months)
  • Tiny Miss (Ages 2-4)
  • Little Miss (Ages 5-7)
  • Petite Miss (Ages 8-10)
  • Junior Miss (Ages 11-13)
  • Teen Miss (Ages 14-16)
  • Miss (Ages 17-23)
  • Ms. (Ages 24-39)
  • Classic Ms. (Ages 40 and up)

Along with the overall title in each age category, contestants may compete in several optional competitions including Best Dressed, Best Eyes, Best Smile, and Best Hair. Pageant winners in each category will be invited to the North Carolina State Pageant scheduled for August 2015.

Not a “Glitz and Glam” Pageant

Amanda Graves Rivera, the NC State Preliminary Director for the pageant, states:

We are not a glitz and glam pageant. Our contestants wear casual wear in the preliminaries, and we promote the aspect of giving back and making the community a better place.

All the Miss Heart of the USA pageants are food drives, and, to date, the program has distributed over 10 million non-perishable food item to non-profits all across the U.S.
