Cary, NC — Sunday, June 21, 2015 is Father’s Day. Whether you’re in search of the perfect gift or just want to have fun with Dad, here’s a guide to help you make last-minute plans.
Celebrate Father’s Day in Cary
Flowers, jewelry, candy and brunch are all popular Mother’s Day go-to’s. But what about Dad? It can be hard to plan Father’s Day, so, below, find gift ideas, restaurant specials and fun things to do in Cary to celebrate your dad this weekend on Sunday, June 21, 2015.
Take Dad Out to Eat
The following Cary restaurants are offering Father’s Day specials.

On my dad’s birthday, I took him out for brunch at Belle. He loves history and enjoyed dining on the front porch of the old house, overlooking the garden and hearing stories of its past. Whether you choose brunch, lunch or dinner, Belle is a great venue for special celebrations.

Treat Dad like a king with a Father’s Day Brunch Buffet from 9 am-2:30 pm full of Dad’s favorites like fried chicken, oysters, shrimp, mussels, tender sirloin, breakfast favorites, delicious sides and homemade desserts. Prices are $28 for each adult and $14 for kids 10 & under.
Need a Present for Dad?
Shopping for my mom or for my girlfriends is easy, but I’ve always struggled to pick out the perfect present for my dad. Garden Supply Company on Old Apex Road in Cary is a great place to buy dad-friendly gifts. Some of my favorite gift ideas for Dad include funny socks, beer soap and vintage lanterns (all found at Garden Supply).
For a personal, hand-made gardening gift, try making Dad a terrarium or hanging basket. My dad loves plants but lives in an apartment, and I found that a small terrarium was a great present for him last year. If your dad is a foodie, visit World Market (near Crossroads) to make him a basket filled with specialty foods and treats from around the world.
Still stumped? We’re lucky to live in a town that has a variety of specialty cooking stores, hardware stores, bakeries, candy shops and local gifts. Check out some of these stores in this article we published last year called Father’s Day Gift Ideas–it has suggestions for techie dads, stylish dads, dads who love to cook and more.
