Cary, NC — On the calendar this weekend, catch “Weird Al” Yankovic, symphony music, a huge yard sale, Park West Village’s LIVE in the District, a craft at Garden Supply and more.

What’s Up? Downtown! is a social celebration held several times a year by the Heart of Cary Association, a group dedicated to preserving, promoting, and honoring Downtown Cary. Members and non-members are invited to this event, held Thursday at 5:30 in the Chocolate Smiles Village parking lot, for networking, food, drinks and raffles.

Enjoy Park West Village’s final LIVE in the District free outdoor show on Thursday at 6 pm.

You can also visit Koka Booth Amphitheatre at 8 pm to see “Weird Al” Yankovic, a singer-songwriter, producer, musician, parodist, satirist, actor, author, etc. perform. Tickets start at $35.

Enjoy a free day of coworking from 9 am-5 pm, plus food trucks at 4:30 pm, at Cary Coworking, 145 W. Chatham Street in Downtown Cary.

The NC Symphony will present An Evening of Broadway at 7:30 pm at Koka Booth.

Later, at Doherty’s Irish Pub in Cary, enjoy music from Shelby Merchant from 10 pm-1 am.

Support the Cary Senior Center and find a treasure at their annual yard sale, a huge sale filled with crafts, clothing, home goods, etc. The sale starts at 7:30 am and lasts until 12:30 pm at the senior center, 120 Maury Odell Place, in Bond Park.

Stop by the Cary Downtown Farmer’s Market from 8 am-12:30 pm on W. Chatham Street to purchase local goods and to enjoy music from The Motley Tones singing pirate group.

Enjoy a free, fun event for the whole family at Garden Supply Company on Old Apex Road in Cary–all you need to do is bring a clean, empty 18-20 oz. canned food can. With paint and imagination, you’ll create a “garden bug” with friends and family.

Later on, enjoy Reggae Night at Rally Point Sport Grill on Harrison Avenue in Cary. From 7-11 pm, enjoy the Amateurs Reggae Band, juggling sticks, fire eaters, a hula hoop contest and drinks on the patio. Then, with a DJ, fun continues until 2 am.

Across the Triangle

The 3rd Annual Fresh Catch Festival is this weekend on Saturday June 20, 2015 from 1-9 pm in Downtown Raleigh at Moore Square and E. Martin Street. This street party includes food, live music and art, and tickets are $8 in advance and $10 day-of. Children under 12 are free.

Catch a Durham Bulls baseball game this weekend–have your choice of three home games, Thursday June 18, 2015-Sunday, June 21, 2015 in Downtown Durham.

Friday and Saturday, June 19-20, 2015, enjoy Orange County’s largest and longest-running festival, Hog Day. The event features craft booth and artisans, a BBQ cook-off and entertainment from various local bands. The festival takes place rain or shine in Efland, NC, about 35 minutes from Cary.
