Want to know what’s going on downtown? Join the Heart of Cary Association at the Matthews House in Downtown Cary at 7:30 am for breakfast and updates from the downtown manager.
What are you doing for lunch on Thursday? Downtown Cary is the place to be! Stop by the Kababish Cafe at the corner of Harrison and W. Chatham for a grand opening at 11:30 am. There, you can sample some of the Indian fusion restaurant’s most popular items.
Then, walk over to the Fidelity Bank, because The Canady Thomas Duo will play until 1:30 pm.
Parents – have questions about your child’s schools? School Board Member Bill Fletcher will meet regularly with community members at the Cary Chamber of Commerce from 1-2 pm to hear their concerns and ideas and to answer their questions.

The Cary Players latest production, Isn’t It Romantic, wraps up this weekend with three shows Friday-Sunday at the Cary Arts Center. This romantic comedy is filled with 80’s fashion, real-life problems and a lot of laughs. Check it out for a fun evening.

There’s a lot going on Saturday! Let’s hope the weather cooperates.
St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Cary will host a Lobster Fest from 11 am-4 pm on Saturday. Pick up a lobster or entree to take home, or enjoy a meal (with sides and dessert) or a lobster roll at the church. Funds from this event benefit the NC Food Bank.
The charitable Triangle Oktoberfest runs Saturday-Sunday at Booth Amphitheatre. The family-friendly festival offers a kids zone, tons of beer, contests, food, music and more.

Young Cary artists ages 14-18 can Paint the Page at the Page-Walker in Downtown Cary from 1-5 pm. All they have to do is come ready to paint/draw/sketch any aspect of the hotel or gardens that inspires them. Prizes will be awarded at a reception on October 11, 2015
A Children’s Art & Storytelling Festival with arts, crafts, games, storytelling an local artists will take place at The Caring Corner from 1-3 pm. This event is free.
A “Meet and Greet on the Streets of London” is the perfect place to meet fellow antique lovers. Join Streets of London Antiques (on West Chatham Street in Cary) owner Gill for a wine and cheese reception and enjoy 20% off purchases made that day. Streets of London specializes in beautiful antique furniture and home decorations imported from London.

Across the Triangle
The Wide Open Bluegrass Festival is this weekend in Downtown Raleigh. On Friday and Saturday, you can enjoy a festival in many galleries with music, dance, food and more.
The second annual People’s Peppers event at the Carrboro Farmers’ Market is this weekend on Saturday from 8:30 am-noon. Market farmers have the whole spectrum covered with over 40 kinds of peppers, from super spicy to juicy and sweet.
Beautiful, The Carole King Musical, is running now through October 4, 2015 at DPAC. The show tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom.
