3 Ways to Get Gorgeous for Holiday Parties

Editor’s Note: Our friends at The Green Room, a new blowout, bronzing and brow bar in Cary, share three beauty tips to help you feel gorgeous at holiday parties.

Get Gorgeous for Holiday Parties

Chances are that you’ll attend more social functions throughout the holiday season than you normally do – which means that you’ll see more people and that you’ll want to look your best. Here are several ways to look gorgeous and feel confident in a snap.

You won’t even have to rearrange your schedule – these services can be planned at the last minute and can even be slipped in before or after a trip to the store.

Get a Blowout

Have your hair professionally shampooed and styled for your next event.

People will notice. It is time consuming and difficult to give your hair the volume and sleek texture that a stylist can provide. The trick is in the size and shape of the brush used and the tension your stylist uses to pull your tresses into smooth, bouncy perfection.

Treat yourself and let someone else do the work for you.

Emphasize Your Eyes

Play up your eyes. There are a few ways to give yourself an instant eye lift:

  • Define your brows. The perfect brow shape and color will open your eye and give a younger look to your face.
  • Use a light eye shadow in your makeup application. Lighter colors expand, while darker colors minimize. So, to make your eyes appear larger and more open, opt for a lighter shade of shadow.
  • Full, dark lashes give the look of youth. Add depth to the eye with thickening mascara or false lashes. You may opt for lash extensions or one night only lash strips.

Get a Spray Tan

Glowing skin is gorgeous skin, and a little hint of color makes everyone look and feel their best.

A custom airbrush spray tan is a quick and easy way to get that glow any time of the year. Make sure to exfoliate before your spray tan to ensure an even application, and keep your skin moisturized in the days following your tan.
