Halloween 2016 In Cary And Other Fall Events
Cary, NC – The weather is cooling down and the leaves are changing, which means October is right around the corner. With it comes all kinds of fun events, from harvest celebrations to Halloween, so here are the events going on around Cary.
Fall Events
Celebration of Children in the Arts is a performance at the Cary Ballet Conservatory, with young performers mixing dance, visual arts and music and takes place on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
Fall Line Dance will be a line-dancing show at the Cary Senior Center in Bond Park. It will take place on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
Diwali Celebration will be at Koka Booth Amphitheater where there will be lots of Indian food, music, dancing and more. It takes place at Saturday, October 15, 2016.
Art Loop is the final Friday of October where Cary artists will present their works in galleries and museums around town. The shows are all on Friday, October 28, 2016.
Chatham Street Chowdown is Cary’s food truck rodeo on Chatham Street in Downtown Cary. The last Chowdown of 2016 is on Sunday, October 2.
Downtown Cary Fall Festival is an event at Bond Brothers Brewing Co. with beer, food trucks and live music. It is a partnership with the Heart of Cary Association and the Town of Cary on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
Halloween
Children’s Pumpkin Patch is an event for children 10 and younger at Parkside Town Commons. There will also be bounce houses, face painting, games and more. It is on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
Costume Dance Party is an event for children aged 5-12 to dress up in their Halloween costumes and dance. It takes place at the Cary Arts Center on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
Fall Festival is a safe Trick-or-Treating event at Park West Village, with a kid-friendly Halloween movie afterwards. It takes place Thursday, October 27, 2016.
Reel-ly Scary Film Series are scary Halloween movies that will be playing at Koka Booth Amphitheater from Thursday, October 27 to Saturday, October 29, 2016 with Young Frankenstein, the Goosebumps Movie and The Conjuring 2 in that order. There will also be a haunted house at the Amphitheater and other activities.
Cary’s Great Pumpkin Carve is a pumpkin carving event at on Chatham Street, complete with classes and special stations on Jack’o’lantern carving. You can find it all day downtown on Saturday, October 29, 2016.
The Pumpkin Carving Contest at Koka Booth Ampitheater is a chance to creatively decorate a pumpkin, with pumpkins entered and judged on Saturday, October 29, 2016 before the Reel-ly Scary film screening. Register with the linked forms and pay attention to the rules.
Trick-or-Treat Trail is a safe Trick-or-Treating event on the trail around the Morrisville Community Park. This event runs mid-day on Saturday, October 29, 2016.
FestiFall Halloween Party is a Trick-or-Treating event along a map starting at the Aspen School for Exceptional Children, starting in the morning on Saturday, October 29, 2016.
Halloween Mall Crawl is a safe Trick-or-Treating event at Cary Towne Center, where there will also be a magic show and scary storytelling. It starts Saturday, October 29, 2016.
Herbert’s Haunted House is a haunted house put on by the Cary Teen Council at the Herb Young Community Center. All ages welcome but parental guidance is recommended. It starts at night on Saturday, October 29, 2016.
Haunted Tales of Yesteryear is a performance of ghost stories by the Cary Players at the Page-Walker Center. It runs twice on the night of Saturday, October 29, 2016.
Pumpkin Flotilla is a Halloween event where lit Jack’o’lanterns will be released onto the lake at the Bond Park Boathouse. It takes place at night on Sunday, October 30, 2016.
Crossroads Plaza Halloween Boo Fest is an event where children aged 12 and under can walk in Crossroads Plaza and get candy from the various stores as well as get face painting, play carnival games and more, all with music from a remote from Mix 101.5
