Garden Supply Co. is holding an after-hours event where visitors can enjoy wine and get ideas for gifts and decorations from store employees. Anyone who wants to go to this 5 PM event should RSVP in advance.
Chatham Street Wine Market is holding a Beaulojais nouveau party with specials on wine, food from Brachi Roll and music by the Jordan Lake Swimmers. The party starts at 6 PM.
It’s Ladies Night at Parkside Town Commons, with open houses, special deals, food, wine and other activities. It takes place at 6 PM.

Cute Buttons in Park West Village is holding a holiday open house, with special deals and and custom items. It takes place at 4 PM.
Salon is an event at the Page-Walker History and Arts Center with music and arts from the past, all modeled on a 1920s salon. The event is hosted by David R. Lindquist and takes place at 7 PM.
It’s Coen Brothers Night at the Cary Theater, with films by the famous director duo playing all night. At 7 PM, it’s The Man Who Wasn’t There and at 9 PM it’s the Oscar-winning No Country For Old Men.

There are Holiday Craft Markets around Cary today. At 9 AM, the Cary Senior Center is hosting a crafts show and at 10 AM it’s the Mistletoe Market at Green Hope High School and the Holiday Sale at Glenaire Retirement Community.
Waverly Place is having a holiday open house with music, horse and carriage rides and store specials. Attendees are asked to bring in an unwrapped toy to donate. It starts at noon.
The Pre-Turkey Day Jam is a fun musical jam with musicians including Pinto, The Grand Shell Game and Jon Shain & FJ Ventre. Presented by Six String, all proceeds from the show will go to The Interfaith Council for Social Services and the Relief for Recreation Fund and starts at 8 PM.

The Cozy Toes Fun Run is a race to raise money for Winter clothes, sponsored by Fit and Able. It starts at Cary Towne Center at 9 AM with registration online.
The Champagne and Lobster Party at Chatham Street Wine Market is an event with specials on champagne and the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck. The event starts at noon.
Holiday Centerpiece Workshop at Garden Supply Co. will teach people how to make centerpieces for Thanksgiving, Christmas and other holidays. You can bring your own container or buy one at the workshop, with registration online. The workshop starts at 2 PM.

Around the Triangle
This is the last weekend to see An Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde, performed at Raleigh’s Titmus Theatre. This classic story of deception, investment fraud and romance is going on stage at 7:30 PM and 2 PM on Sunday, November 20, 2016.
The Triangle’s Best Comedians will be performing stand-up as part of one of the biggest independent comedy events in the country. It takes place at Kings in Raleigh at 8 PM on Friday.
Durham Art Walk Holiday Market is a chance to shop for handmade local arts and crafts on Durham’s Morris Street. It takes place on Saturday and Sunday until 5 PM both days.
