Pictures: Cary Christmas Parade

Cary, NC – The sun was low in the sky and the weather was brisk the the annual Cary Jaycees Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 10, 2016.

Last year, the parade marched up Chatham to West Street. But this year, the festivities returned to their traditional route up Chatham and South Academy Street, newly renovated and decked out for the holidays, ending at the Cary Arts Center.

Large crowds lined the parade route to enjoy marching bands, floats, dancers, scouts, vintage cars, local dignitaries and community groups. The parade lasted almost an hour and a half. Not a cloud marred the blue sky.
