Cary, NC – Guy Noir needed a raincoat Saturday night as Garrison Keillor brought A Prairie Home Companion to Booth Amphitheatre.

The sky drizzled all evening with umbrellas periodically opening and closing across the great lawn like a field full of moths. But the weather couldn’t dampen the fun for the packed house, there to hear Keillor’s witty and nostalgic show. Read more

Cary, NC – Burt Music Company is a multi-faceted enterprise run and owned by a jewel of the community, Harold Burt.  Mr. Burt has been making music in Cary since 1950, when he became Cary High School’s first band leader.  I visited Mr. Burt at his music shop where he was surrounded by a library of music, a variety of instruments and newspaper clippings of stories written about him over the years. Cary, NC – It’s spring in Cary and that means Spring Daze is just around the corner.  This Saturday, April 24th,  marks the 17th annual Cary Spring Daze.  The festival focuses on the arts but it also celebrates Cary’s great outdoor living – taking place on the 40th anniversary of the first Earth Day.
