American Idol Comes to Cary

Cary, North Carolina – Talent scouts from American Idol were at Cary Towne Center on Saturday. 500 people were reported to have shown up for the one-minute-apiece audition.

The Cary audition is not listed on Idol’s website. But uncorroborated reports say that one Cary contestant will move on to the regionals in Charleston on Friday, July 22.

North Carolina has Idol cred starting with Clay Aiken and continuing on through Anoop, Fantasia and now Scotty McCreery of Garner. Season 10 winners (including McCreery) are on tour and will be coming to RBC Center on July 27.
