Saturday: Peaches & Tomatoes
Peaches, peppers, tomatoes and eggplants continue to reign supreme during August at the farmers markets. We’re talking ginormous German Johnson tomatoes the size of a softball; striped purple eggplants; yellow Emery peaches from the Sandhills and a rainbow of peppers.
Take time on this lazy August weekend to vist one of our fabulous farm markets on Saturday morning:
Saturday: RailHawks vs. Strikers
The Ft. Lauderdale Strikers will be in town on Saturday night to play our hometown RailHawks.
The ‘Hawks are number 1 in the NASL this season, but 1-1 against the Strikers. Saturday’s match should be an exciting one under the gentle August sky – perfect weather for futbol.
