Cary, NC – Traditional school began today (sigh of relief). Time to start thinking about college!

Mark your calendars: the Wake County College Fair will be held 2:00-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 18 at the McKimmon Center, NC State University.

Meet 100 Colleges

High School students and their parents can talk with representatives from over 100 colleges, universities, community colleges and all branches of the military. The college fair will offer free sessions on financial aid and college planning.

This really is a great event – kind of one-stop-shopping for an introduction to many universities.

Many local colleges including Elon, Duke, Campbell, UNC, NC State and NC Central will be there. Out of state institutions including VCU, Wesleyan, Savannah College of Art & Design and Harvard will be there, too.

Popular Event Draws Crowds

This is a popular event that draws large crowds, so provide time in your schedule for parking and then visiting with the representatives of the colleges and universities that are your top choices.

The 2011 College Fair is sponsored by WCPSS, NC State and Carolina Association of College Registrars.

We attended with our daughter as a kickoff to her JUNIOR year.
It opened Jill’s eyes, and started to get her focused. From there she picked a major and we started college visits all junior year. Now she is ready to start early applications. We’ll know where she’s going by Christmas.
