Pictures: Cary Christmas Parade

Photos by Hal Goodtree.

Cary, NC – Saturday was the 32nd Annual Cary Jaycees Christmas Parade. The weather was perfect, with thousands lining the parade route in Downtown Cary.

There were floats, mascots, marching bands, dancers, scouts, old cars, hoopers, dogs, artificial snow, real bubbles, elected officials, Elvis, Santa and a giant pelting of candy. It was literally raining candy at the corner of Chatham and Academy for two straight hours, thrown by participants into the crowd along the parade route. Wise children brought bags.

    Ken,

I took 697 pictures at the parade and had to cut them down to 20 (double the number we usually publish). I tried to select my best photos from the day and show a representative mix that captured the spirit of the parade.

I’m sorry nothing from the Tar Heels Tiger Club made into the Top 20. The fault is mine as the photographer.

On behalf of Cary Citizens everywhere, thanks for your support of the Cary Jaycees and the best ever Cary Christmas Parade.

Wonderful day at the parade, but we are a bit dissapointed that you did not have even one picture of the Tar Heels Tiger Club.

We had more cars in the Parade than any other car club. Don’t you think we deserve at least one picture?

    Ken
