Downtown Update: Big HoCA Meeting Planned for Thursday
Story by Doc Thorne. Photo by Hal Goodtree.
Cary, N.C. – The next meeting of the Heart of Cary Association (HoCA) will be held Thursday, September 6th, 8-9AM at Matthew’s House, 317 W. Chatham Street in Downtown Cary.
Jennifer Robinson
Our featured Downtown Dialogue will be provided by our friend and Downtown advocate Councilwoman Jennifer Robinson who will be telling us about the Cary Women’s Giving Network; an organization of local women she co-founded in 2011 as an arm of the North Carolina Community Foundation for the purpose of providing grants to nonprofits serving Cary.
If you serve in a leadership capacity or as a volunteer for a nonprofit this is a meeting you won’t want to miss.
Façade Improvement Update
Additionally, there will be brief reports from Ed Gawf, Downtown Development Manager, reminding merchants and property owners of the Town’s Façade Improvement Program, Larry Speakman introducing us to the Cary Concert Singer and, of course, other announcements of interest. As you can see we have a full hour planned, and one which will go by too quickly.
Buffet Breakfast
Doors open at 7.30A, so plan to arrive early and mingle with Downtown stake-holders and decision-makers while enjoying our new light breakfast buffet.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our wonderful meeting sponsors: Yes! Solar Solutions, Chambers Arts! and Twin City Alliance. Please, take the time to personally thank them and learn a little more about their fine products and services.
Open to All and Still Free
And remember, HoCA meetings are open to everyone. So, why not invite a friend, neighbor, associate or potential member to attend with you?
