Cary, NC – Just about every month, the Cary Chamber hosts an Economic Development breakfast. On February 6, the guest speakers will be members of Cary’s Technology Task Force.

Economic Development Talks Tech

The breakfasts are informal affairs – coffee and a danish, free to members, from 8-9 AM at the Chamber. Previous speakers at the Chamber include Senator Richard Burr, Downtown Development Manager Ed Gawf and RTA Executive Director Joe Milazzo.

Members of Cary’s Tech Task Force will share recommendations made to Town Council for improving the use of technology and communication.

Tech has always been a hot topic in the local business community, but it is assuming increase importance in the conversation about municipal services. Next month, Cary is holding it’s first Open Data Day and Hacakathon at the Chamber. Over 30 geeks developers, designers and data analysts have signed up for the all-day event.

Tech touches all of us, from our homes to our livelihoods to economic development in the community. At this pivotal moment, the Chamber is making an opportunity for business leaders to hear and ask questions about recommendations made to our elected officials.

The event is free to Chamber members but advance registration is requested.
