Belk Service Day at Dillard Drive Elementary
On June 19th, 2013, employees from Cary Towne Center’s Belk store conducted it’s service at Dillard Drive Elementary School in Raleigh.
Between 45 and 50 Belk Associates worked throughout the day on projects including the construction of picnic tables, installing soccer goals, and assembling and painting bookshelves.
While at the school, they built 4 picnic tables, 2 benches with planters boxes on both sides, a basketball hoop and a soccer goal.
“We’re thrilled to have volunteer activities scheduled in every market we serve so that all of our associates will have the opportunity to participate,” said Jessica Graham, vice president of communications and community relations. “Our associates are so passionate about the communities they live and work in, so we knew that a key component of our anniversary celebration would include giving back.”
