Saddle Up for Cary’s Re-Use Rodeo
Cary, NC – This Saturday, September 21, 2013, Cary will hold its 3rd annual Re-Use Rodeo. Since the first Rodeo in 2011, this event has diverted more than 15,000 pounds from the Wake County Landfill.
Cary’s Re-Use Rodeo
Several area non- profits will be collecting residents’ household items at the Garmon Operations Center, located at 400 James Jackson Ave, off NW Cary Parkway starting at 9:00 am. Load up your car, truck or van and get in line to have the items removed and sorted for re-use by several area non-profits who will up-cycle the materials.
“Without a doubt, the Reuse Rodeo is critical in helping the Town continue to meet its 40-percent waste diversion goal,” said Bob Holden, Solid Waste & Recycling Manager.
Accepted Items
Items accepted include: clothing, toys, small appliances, home goods, electronics, books, craft supplies and more. Donation receipts will be available.
