All photos by Brooke Meyer

Cary, NC — What can we say? Our photographer Brooke Meyer never met a dog he didn’t like, and he particularly has a thing for the Cary Dog Days of June and their frisbee throwing contest.Every year, no matter how hot is gets, you can count on Brooke to be out there shooting photos of dogs running agility courses, catching frisbees, and generally having a happy doggy-time.

This year was no different.

The Town of Cary sponsors this event on the first Saturday in June at Bond Park every year. Rabies vaccines and micro- chipping of pets is offered for a nominal fee ($10 and $5) , a dog washing station sponsored by the Cary Teen Council and numerous rescue organization have booths on display. Its a place where dog owners can find tons of information about pet ownership all in one place, and bring Fido along for the trip (on a leash of course!)

Second Chance Adoption is a huge organizer of the event in partnership with the Town of Cary.

Enjoy these photos from Dog Days 2014.
