Dorry’s Downtown Closes
Cary, NC — Dorry’s Downtown, the popular eatery on East Chatham, closed its doors on Monday, August 25, 2014.
Dorry’s Closes
Ray Dorry opened his restaurant in 2011 after the Food Factory closed in the same location on East Chatham Street.
Dorry’s served pizza, subs and deli items with a New York flavor – Meatball Parmigiana and Corned Beef, Cheesesteak and an Italian sub called the Uncle Louie.
Like the Food Factory before it, Dorry’s was a popular gathering spot for downtown organizations, town staff, Ex-New Yorkers and Caniacs.
No word at this time on Ray Dorry’s future plans. But his congenial restaurant in Downtown Cary will be missed.

Too bad! Best pizza not only in Cary, but the Triangle. Very sad to hear this news.
Word on the street is that the site will be active again soon.

Idea for Downtown Cary, perhaps?

Too bad! Catered my daughter’s graduation and it was great.
This is a shame. Just when they were getting it together with Pizza (best in Cary) and beer. Let’s hope another restaurant moves into the space… never can have too many places in Downtown to choose from for food and small meetings.
Best of luck to Ray in his future endeavors.
Boo! I’m so disappointed to hear this. Does anyone else in town have a good reuben?
We will miss Dorry’s
oh no! I hate to hear this! Loved them!
