Temps Set to Plunge in Cary
Cary, NC — “18 degrees? Seriously?” asked my spouse. Yep. Wednesday morning may see a low of 18°F here in Cary.
No Snow, But Plenty of Cold
The first hard freeze of the year took our summer coleus, impatiens and mums last week. This week, we’ll have more unseasonably cold weather as an Arctic blast sweeps across the country.
AccuWeather predicts a high of 39° in Cary on Tuesday. Wednesday is not much better with a high of 42°. Both days may see overnight temps dipping below 20°F.
No snow in the forecast. The big rain on Monday is sweeping in the cold dry air from the Midwest.
Record Setting?
The average temp for Tuesday is 63° – 40°. That’s means our high temp tomorrow may be less than the average low for the this date.
The record low for 11/18 and 11/19 (Tuesday and Wednesday) is 21°. The Wednesday record was set in 1903.
Stay warm out there on Tuesday and Wednesday.
