2015 Guide to Easter Festivities in Cary
Cary, NC — Easter Sunday (April 5, 2015) is more than a week away, but egg hunts and other festivities start early in Cary. We rounded up a list of fun events occurring this week and next both in town and around the Triangle.
Egg Hunts & Kids Activities
Breakfast with the Bunny
Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 8:30 am
at the Kiwanis Shelter in Bond Park, 801 High House Road, Cary
The Cary Teen Council hosts a breakfast with the Easter Bunny before the Town of Cary’s big Easter Egg Hunt. Tickets ($4 for ages 10 and up, $3 for ages 3-9, children 2 and under free) can be purchased at the Herb Young Community Center at 101 Wilkinson Avenue.
Cary’s 24th Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 10 am-3 pm
at Bond Park, 801 High House Road, Cary
The hunt is free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but participants should bring their own baskets. There will be three different hunt areas for three different age groups. Between hunts, resident dragon KATAL from Kids Together Park and members of the Cary Police and Fire departments will be onsite for entertainment and education.
There will also be moon bounces, face painting and food trucks.
Morning Hunts:
- 10 a.m.: ages 3 and younger
- 10:20 a.m.: ages 4-6
- 10:40 a.m.: ages 7-10
Afternoon Hunts:
- 1:30 p.m.: ages 3 and younger
- 1:50 p.m.: ages 4-6
- 2:10 p.m.: ages 7-10
Easter Eggstravaganza (for kids with disabilities)

Children 12 and under with intellectual and/or physical disabilities are invited to an Easter Eggstravaganza at Bond Park’s Field #4. There will be an egg hunt, a bounce house, entertainment and the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny! The hunt for ages seven and under begins at 6:30 pm and at 7 pm for ages 8-12. Pre-registration is recommended.
Cary YMCA Annual Easter Egg Hunt

This egg hunt is free, but get there early to find the hunt locations for different age groups! Hunts for ages 2 and under start at 3 pm, and hunts for older children (up to age 11) continue for three other age groups until 4 pm. There will also be face-painting, tattoos, crafts, snacks, and a visit from a special guest. Register by April 3, 2015 at the front desk.

Academy Street Bistro has created a special menu for Easter brunch and supper. The menu includes breakfast favorites like steak and eggs, pancakes, Eggs Benedict and a breakfast BLT. Later in the day, guests can enjoy appetizers like caramelized brussel sprouts, mini crab cakes or fried oysters. Main courses honey-baked ham, roasted sea scallops, leg of lamb and more.

Dean’s will carry a large, special menu on Easter Sunday, with breakfast favorites, entrees, seafood displays, sides, salads and desserts. Prices per person are $28 for adults and $14 for children (both prices include one non-alcoholic beverage).
Across the Triangle
Raleigh Easter

This free event features more than 60,000 eggs, as well as games, prizes, inflatables, free balloons and more. Seven hunts take place every half hour beginning at 10 am. The egg hunts will also include separate zones for children with special needs.
Cosmic Easter Bounce & Egg Hunt

Meet the Easter bunny and hunt for plastic eggs filled with goodies and very special prizes. The Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Field #1 at Morrisville Community Park, located on Morrisville Parkway. Children will be divided by age and will have the opportunity to find a special egg.
The lucky person to find the special egg wins a prize. There will be food trucks, a bounce house, face painting and more.
