Cary Scavenger Hunt: Clue Bombs

Team from 2014 at a clue location

Team including Councilman Ed Yerha from 2014 at a clue location

Cary, NC — As we gear up for our Cary Scavenger Hunt, we realize that folks might be intimidated about signing up. We have some helpful hints that will give you an idea of what to expect and may help you win! ClueBombs are coming!

What’s a Clue?

Scavenger Hunt Clues typically encompass Cary trivia: Information about local history, parks, public artworks, greenways, event venues and local businesses.

The answers we seek generally fall into three categories:

  1. Take a team photo at a location
  2. Bring back an item to prove your visit
  3. Answer a question in our book

But, some people are still nervous. Cary-ites are competitive. They want an edge. They need a little help. ClueBombs to the rescue!

ClueBombs – Defined

Starting in July, as CaryCitizen travels around Cary meeting people writing stories, we begin to shape the questions that will ultimately land in our Cary Scavenger Hunt Official Clue Book. We take dozens of photos and ask hundreds of questions from local experts.

Then, we start to hint around and share some of that information. Where do we share? On our social media streams. But you have to follow us to see these hints. You can:

It could help you win.

Here’s one of the ClueBombs we dropped recently:

This sculpture was part of the 2012 Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit and is now a permanent piece in a public place. Kyoto is its name. Can you find its space?

Look for these and other ClueBombs on our social media feeds.

These posts will be tagged: #CaryScavengerHunt and #cluebomb with a number corresponding to the order of clues dropped. We’ll be posting from July 7 through August 30 in advance of the 2015 Cary Scavenger Hunt.

Happy Hunting!
