Shop and explore Waverly Place while sampling wonderful wines each Thursday during the Walk of Art series. You will receive a tasting glass with a $10 donation at the Kay Yow table. Sampling will be available from 6-7:30 pm during the event.

The Cary Theater and the Modern School of Film are presenting a screening of A Touch of Evil and a film class at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15.

Peachy Keen will hold their annual Fall Fashion Show on Thursday evening at 7 pm. The fashionable evening will feature swag bags, live music, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction benefiting Interact, a runway fashion show and more. Tickets are $25-$30.

Garden Supply Co. will host a Holiday Open House from 6-9 pm on Friday evening. Adult beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Enjoy Salon: An Evening of Arts and Culture at Page-Walker at 7 pm on Friday. Attendees will enjoy performances by poets, magicians and thespians while surrounded by fine art, and elegant refreshments will be served. Tickets are $20.

Green Hope High School’s performance of The Crucible will take place at 7 pm. Another performance will take place at The Cary, as Shana Tucker performs at 7:30 pm.

Two fun open houses start at 10 am in Cary this morning. The new Children’s Lighthouse Learning Center in West Cary welcomes kids and families to their building for a magician, food, drinks and tours. At the same time, School of Rock on NW Maynard Road will hold demo lessons and jam sessions until 12:30 pm.

It’s only November, but it’s not too early to meet Santa! Santa will be at Garden Supply Co. from 11 am-3 pm for holiday pictures in a sleigh.

Families can enjoy a child-friendly concert at the Cary Arts Center from 3-5 pm on Saturday. Operation Lunch Line is an interactive musical show designed to help children in grades K-6 learn the value of good nutrition and exercise. Tickets are $8.

Light-Up Night takes place at Parkside Town Commons, Cary’s brand-new shopping center, from 5-7 pm on Saturday evening. Mayor Weinbrecht will light the tree, and there will also be a bounce house, face painting, live music, games and prizes.

One of the largest Downtown Cary Food & Flea markets of the year is this Sunday – several new vendors will be there in addition to the regulars, including Chatham Street Wine Market and Shecology. Wine tastings and the Rogue Tako food truck will be there, too.

The Concert Singers of Cary will present a wonderful concert called Music from Our Time at 3 pm in The Matthews House in Downtown Cary. The program will feature music that utilizes special effects and the room to hear nature and the sounds of our world through the language of music. There will be food and wine, too. Tickets are $35.

Across the Triangle

Barnes & Noble’s across the Triangle are hosting Mini Maker Faire events all weekend long. Starting on Friday, November 6, 2015 and continuing until Sunday, November 8, 2015, guests can see a tech-educational expo, product demos for 3D printers, drones, robots, coding, programming and more. SuperFun Saturday is Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 10:30 am-12:30 pm in Apex at the Halle Cultural Arts Center. Kids from 4-12 enjoy free arts & crafts. No registration is required, and parents or adults must accompany children.

The NC Wine Festival will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 11 am-6 pm in Downtown Raleigh. Guests can mingle with North Carolina winemakers and local artisans while enjoying wine tastings, food pairings, live music and entertainment. Tickets are $20.
