Food: Triangle Restaurant Week in Cary
Editor’s Note: This story was first published on FoodCary.com.
Cary, NC — Triangle Restaurant Week is back January 25-31, 2016, and eight Cary restaurants are participating with fixed menus and special prices.
Triangle Restaurant Week
Triangle Restaurant Week is an annual celebration of the many excellent restaurants in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas. Joining this celebration is easy – all you have to do is make a reservation to dine at one of the participating restaurants of your choice to enjoy three-course lunches or dinners at one discount price.
Usually, the participating restaurant will select their tastiest, most popular appetizers, entrees and desserts and create a fixed menu of those items for customers to select from. Pricing for the event is $15 for a three-course lunch and $20, $25, or $30 for a three-course dinner. Pricing is for each person and does not include beverages, tax or gratuity.
Cary Choices
Last year, a date treated me to dinner at Rey’s during Triangle Restaurant Week. The $30 per person fixed price included my salad, entree, side and dessert – that’s a deal at Rey’s! In true “restaurant week style,” my date and I each ordered different courses from the menu of options so that we could share and try a little bit of everything.
Rey’s is back on the Cary list this year along with seven other restaurants:
- Academy Street Bistro – New American, Seafood
- Dean’s Seafood Bar & Grill – Oysters, Seafood, American
- Doherty’s Irish Pub – Seafood, Irish Pub
- Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse – Steak, Chicken, Salmon
- Tribeca Tavern – Burgers, Meatloaf, Chicken, Salmon
- Totopos Street Food & Tequila – Tacos, Street Food, Margaritas
- Nazara – Indian Cuisine
Restaurants Across the Triangle
Of course, your options aren’t limited to Cary just because you live here! Close to 100 other restaurants are participating in this year’s event. Half of those are in Raleigh, but others are in Morrisville, Apex, Clayton, Durham, Chapel Hill and Pittsboro. Our nearby favorites for Italian food, for example, are Daniel’s in Apex and Travinia in Morrisville.
Find a list of all participating restaurants and the menus offered at each on the Triangle Restaurant Week website. You can search by location, price, meal offered (only some serve lunch) or type of food. Reservations are not required but may be a good idea depending on the restaurant you pick and what night you plan to dine there.
