Elizabeth’s Home & Garden Opens New Apex Shop
Apex, NC — Elizabeth’s Home & Garden, a beloved two-story downtown Cary shop beside Ashworth Village, just opened a second, smaller location inside a popular downtown Apex bookstore.
Cary Favorite Opens New Shop in Apex
Elizabeth’s Home & Garden Shop has been a treasured addition to downtown Cary ever since it opened in 2012.
Now, owner Elizabeth Sullivan is expanding her business with another shop inside All Booked Up, a bookstore in Apex.
The new Apex store, officially named “Elizabeth’s Home & Garden Boutique,” is a snapshot of the downtown Cary shop. “A little bit of everything is in here,” Sullivan explained to me as I browsed the shelves of beautiful items.
Sure enough, Sullivan has stocked the shelves of the boutique with customers’ favorites from her Cary store – bird houses and bird cages, statues, urns, plants, specialty lamps, figurines, pillows, trinket boxes, framed canvas wall art, metal sculptures, scarves, jewelry, soaps, candles, stained glass pieces, picture frames, vintage pieces, plush canvas door stops and more. The new space, Elizabeth’s Home & Garden Boutique, officially opened on February 6, 2016.
The New Store
The new store is inside of All Booked Up, a cozy yet spacious secondhand bookstore on N. Salem Street, downtown Apex’s main thoroughfare, that’s full of character and comfy reading nooks. All Booked Up owner Janice Monaco recently put an ad out in hopes to find a retailer to fill one larger nook that she had available within the space.
“I immediately jumped on it because I really wanted to try Apex – it’s a desired location for shoppers,” Sullivan, who had been looking to expand, explained. “This is smaller, and it’s a less expensive way to get started. This way I can let people in Apex know that I have a larger store in Cary and let people in Cary know that I have opened up another spot in Apex.”
“I think this is very business smart,” Monaco added. “This a chance to test the market and see if there’s a need or want for your business without going the full throttle of opening a new store. Elizabeth’s is a great addition here.”
Grand Opening
To celebrate the opening of Elizabeth’s Home & Garden Boutique, a grand opening celebration will be held at the new Apex store on Friday and Saturday, March 4-5, 2016 during regular business hours (see below).
There will be live music, fun drawings for free prizes and fantastic sale prices throughout the store.
