Cary, NC – CaryCitizen co-founder Lindsey Chester has been named a finalist for the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation New Media Boot Camp in Los Angeles.
The fellowship includes lodging, meals and instruction/coaching plus a subsidy for travel to the University of Southern California Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. From the Knight Digital Media website:
This intense one-week boot camp plus 6-week online learning program is designed for 20 competitively selected digital entrepreneurs with great ideas for community news and information initiatives in the public interest.
“I’m truly honored to be selected as a finalist,” said Ms. Chester. “It’s great to see Cary represented as a leader in digital journalism.”
Fellowship award winners will be announced March 7.
