Cary, NC – This weekend, there’s music in the air across Cary as we highlight some memorable events you won’t want to miss.

Cross Currents Crescendo

The Cary Cross Currents Music Festival comes to a crescendo this weekend with three performances in the new Cary Arts Center.

Thursday, July 14 at 7 PM

  • The Eight Seasons – The Brussels Chamber Orchestra (BCO) and Lorenzo Gatto present the eight seasons. The Four Seasons of Vivaldi and the Four Seasons of Piazzolla.

Friday July 15 at 7 PM

  • Lorenzo Gatto Recital with BCO – Young Belgian violin sensation Lorenzo Gatto will give a solo recital: works by Dvorak, Piazzolla, Saint Saens, and Franck. With one twist; all his accompaniment will come from the BCO. A new take on the classic solo recital.

Sunday, July 17 at 7 PM

  • Festival Finale – Final performance of this year’s Cary Cross Currents Chamber Music and Arts Festival. An evening filled with music, drama, virtuosity and dance.

Tickets and information at Cross Currents Festival or ticketmaster.

Time for Three is a self-described “classically trained garage band”.

Violins Zachary De Pue and Nicolas Kendall and bassist Ranaan Meyer join the NC Symphony for jazz, blues and bluegrass-infused music. The evening closes out with Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. Fireworks after the show.

Editor’s Note: We (I) had incorrectly listed this week’s NC Symphony concert as “Pirates.” Thanks to Kay Struffolino for the correction.
