Area Runners Support 5K to Fight Cancer

Cary, NC- The Miles For Matt 5K to fight cancer was held March 10 out at Wake Med Soccer Park. Almost 300 runners participated this year.

Organizers were happy with this year’s turn out and plan to expand the event next year.

Matt Cossa was a former Green Hope varsity baseball player who lost his fight against lymphoma in 2006.

Many of the Green Hope High School community came out in support of the event including the girls state champion soccer team.
