Cary, NC – The Matthews House on West Chatham Street in Cary was recently honored with a Pinnacle Award by the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.

Matthews House Receives Pinnacle Award

The Pinnacle Business Awards honor the best of the best in the Triangle business world. The Matthews House was awarded for being an Individual Entrepreneurial Company in the category for a business with 10-25 employees.

The signature event is held annually by the Raleigh Chamber and only a handful of businesses are awarded each year.  The Matthews House received the award as a result of being an outstanding small, growing, and established company.

Sheila Ogle, owner of The Matthews House, said, “I am proud, happy and honored to receive this Pinnacle Award from the Raleigh Chamber.  The credit goes to our entire staff; from our management team, to the head chef, to the servers. We also want to thank our loyal clients, for without their support, we would not be where we are today.’

About The Matthews House

The Matthews House is a lovingly restored Southern mansion in downtown Cary, now home to a 3,500 square foot event venue.

Originally built in 1914, the home was purchased by Sheila and Carrol Ogle in 2001 and has been completely restored and furnished to the period it was built.  The venue offers spacious reception areas, a fully equipped board room with wireless internet access, and a large dining area perfect for cocktail parties, corporate functions or any special event.

Adjacent to the home is a conference center with an additional 2,200 square feet of space that accommodates up to 200 guests and is designed for business meetings, company retreats, weddings, company holiday parties, or any special event.

The Matthews House is frequent home to civic and business events including Heart of Cary Association meetings, Cary Chamber events and this year’s Amtrak dinner.
