Ritmo Latino Festival Grows Downtown

Story and photos by Lindsey Chester.

Cary, NC – Folks were dancing in the street to the salsa beat on Saturday as the The Ritmo Latino Festival boasted two stages at each end of South Academy Street in Downtown Cary.

The festival was originally scheduled for May but was postponed when the weather was threatening. Luckily this weekend, what could have been another rain date, held off and the festival went as planned.

Booths lined the streets with food vendors, crafts and art for sale. The Game Truck people had a steady stream of kids ready to play with their interactive video games available for free. A separate “Children’s Fun Area” was set up on the grassy performance green with face painting and  bounce houses.

Enjoy these photos taken at the event.

It was such a pleasure to serve the Latino Festival at the State Farm Booth doing the wax hands. Our company served 2 years in a row and everyone loved the wax hands! Great group of people from State Farm as well! Thank you for having our company Pretty Crafty, LLC from Indiana come to Cary :)
