Earth Fare Supermarket Set to Open March 25

Morrisville, NC — The Supermarket Wars continue on March 25, 2015 with the grand opening of Earth Fare, an organic, natural food market in Park West Village at the corner of Morrisville Parkway and Chapel Hill Road.

Fans of organic/natural food markets are excited about this opening. Right now, the Raleigh Earth Fare (located in Brier Creek) is the only other Earth Fare in the Triangle area.

The new 24,000 square foot location (on the Morrisville Parkway side of Park West Village) will make this all-natural supermarket more accessible for both Cary and Morrisville residents.

No Junky Additives Allowed

According to the Earth Fare “food philosophy,” the groceries they sell contain:

• no high-fructose corn syrup
• no artificial fats or trans fats
• no artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, or sweeteners
• no antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones in their meat and dairy
• no bleached or bromated flour

Earth Fare is well-known for its wide variety of natural, organic, fresh and wellness products that incorporate the tightest food and product standards in the industry.

Earth Fare – What’s in a Name?

Brand names are always a bit of a mystery, so let’s set the record straight about the newest supermarket in the Greater Cary Metroplex.

The correct spelling is “Earth Fare” – two words. “Earth,” as in the planet on which we live, and “Fare,” as in food. “Waiter, please bring me your Bill of Fare,” you might say, somewhat quaintly.

A more common use of “fare” is to signify a toll or money a person has to pay on a public conveyance. If you ride the railroad to Raleigh, don’t forget the train fare.

Incorrect ways to spell Earth Fare:

• Earthfare
• Earth Fair
• Earthfair

The confusion with the last two comes because one meaning of “fair” is a market or marketplace. So “Earth Fair” makes logical sense. But it’s not correct.
