Join the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce for Coffee and Connections networking at 7:30 am.

Do you love to make things? Join Gather in Downtown Cary for a 6:30 pm Thursday evening class and, with an instructor, make your own denim apron. The class fee is $55.

The Cary Theater will play “Fantasitic Food Films” all weekend long in celebration of Sunday’s much-anticipated Food Truck Rally. On Thursday evening, catch The Hundred-Foot Journey at 7 pm and Like Water for Chocolate at 9:30 pm.

Want to get out of the house with little ones? Toddler storytime is at 10:30 am, followed by baby storytime at 11:30 am, at West Regional Library on Friday mornings.

Since it’s Friday, you can also enjoy “Wine Away Friday” at Chatham Hill Winery. Starting at 5 pm, there will be live music until 10 pm and beer and wine available.

Catch The Lunchbox, an award-winning food film, at The Cary at 7 pm followed by Mystic Pizza at 9:30 pm. Or, if you’d prefer to watch a movie under the stars, St. Vincent (rated PG-13) will play at Koka Booth Amphitheatre at dusk. Gates open for picnics at 7 pm.

Prefer music to movies? Another Starlight Concert at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center will take place in the gardens from 7-9 pm. Tonight’s show will be jazz by Moment’s Notice.

Make a fairy garden at Garden Supply Company on Saturday morning at 10 am. This class is designed for elementary-aged kids and their guardians to work together. The cost of the class is $15, which includes a container, soil and some basic plants. Additional plants and “fairy accessories” will be extra. Call 919-460-7747 to register for the class, as space is limited.

Enjoy a free open house at Stonehaven Jewelry in Downtown Cary on Saturday from 10 am-5 pm to see jewelry from world-renowned jeweler James Breski.

Starting today (Saturday) and continuing into tomorrow (Sunday, July 26, 2015), enjoy a special program at Chatham Hill Winery called What is Pinot Grigio? You’ll learn that there is a Pinot Grigio for every taste as you sample three distinctly different styles.

Artist Claire Holley will perform with Bruce Piephoff at The Cary Theater at 8 pm. Holley’s music is described as, “Spare, delicate arrangements and a frank, lovely, and versatile sound.”

Across the Triangle

Rock and Roll fans can enjoy The Buddy Holly Story at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts all weekend long in Raleigh. Shows run July 21-July 26, 2015.

Enjoy two free concerts in Durham on Friday, July 24, 2015. First, there’s The Luxuriant Sedans & Harmonica Workshop in Durham Central Park from 5:30-7 :30 pm, and, later, there’s Lester Fricks at Brightleaf Square from 7-9 pm. Outside food and drink are not allowed at Brightleaf, but the harmonica workshop encourages picnics!

Want to try something new? On Sunday, July 26, 2015, take a Drawing for People Who Think They Can’t Draw class at the NC Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill. For $38, students progress from a blank sheet of paper to a beautiful, finished drawing. This class lasts from 1:30-5 pm.
