Your Guide to Cary Shopping Centers
Even if you visit the same shopping center every week, do you know every store, restaurant or service that’s in it? We didn’t use to pay that much attention, either. That’s why we started our series of Cary Shopping Centers – we’re visiting both well-known shopping centers and “hidden treasures” in Cary and Morrisville to find out everything that’s in them (so you don’t have to).
Maynard Crossing
Maynard Crossing, which is near Bond Park on High House Road, has lots to offer customers. There, you’ll find diverse dining options for breakfast, lunch or dinner, a popular Cary bar, educational services and places to work out, a couple one-of-a-kind stores and more.
Breakfast & Brunch
Businesses in Maynard Crossing have come and gone throughout the years, but Brigs has been a staple there ever since I can remember. Brigs is your one-stop shop for a quality breakfast out, but they have sandwiches and salads, too. The atmosphere is nice, the menu is large and the prices are reasonable. Now, there’s another Cary location in Tryon Village.

Lunch & Dinner
Orient Garden offers a wide selection of Chinese and Japanese food, and it’s a great option for both dine-in or take-out. Jet’s Pizza offers pizzas with flavored crusts, but you can also find wings and subs at the restaurant. Jet’s offers “order online” options for easy service.
OISO Sushi & Korean is a great addition to the many quality sushi restaurants in Cary. In addition to the wide variety of sushi, OISO has bento boxes, Korean food and more. Paisan’s is an elegant family-owned Italian restaurant that offers a full menu of salads, appetizers, entrees, drinks and desserts. Dinner is served every night, but lunch is only offered on Saturdays.
You can also dine at two of Maynard Crossing’s out-parcels – there’s a Wendy’s and the newly revamped Goji Bistro, which offers classic Chinese dishes along with “Asian fusion” cuisine – like Asian hoagies served with sweet potato fries.
Nightlife
With a full menu of wraps, sandwiches and appetizers, The Corner Tavern & Grill is a great place to eat, but it’s also a popular Cary venue for live, local music and drinks. With Trivia Tuesdays, Open Mic Nights and Cornhole Tournaments, there’s always something going on.
Health & Beauty
Satisfy quick beauty needs in Maynard Crossing with a Great Clips and a Smile Spa Nails.
There’s also a My Eye Dr., a GNC store, a Miracle Ear Hearing Aid Center, and, on an outparcel, our favorite urgent care center in Cary – AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care. With weekend and evening hours, this walk-in clinic serves the whole family with a pediatric urgent care clinic and on-sire lab tests, x-rays and prescriptions with no appointments needed.
Supermarket
A Kroger supermarket serves as the large anchor in Maynard Crossing.
Sports & Fitness
All American Swim Supply has almost everything a swimmer could need – swimwear, swim caps, goggles and more. The store also offers custom, in-house embroidery for area swim teams. Workout Anytime is a Cary gym that’s open 24/7 and perfect for irregular schedules. The space is full of weight training and elliptical equipment, and the gym is open and bright.
Campaneria Ballet School also calls Maynard Crossing home. This newly-opened school provides instruction for kids as young as three all the way to adults. Ballet technique, pointe, pas de deux, variations, men’s class, modern/jazz, weekly courses in ballet history, “stretch to strengthen” instruction and private sports nutrition are just some of the classes offered.
Pet Store
The Pet Pad moved to this location from their old Kildaire Farm Road store awhile back. The Pet Pad is one of the few pet stores in the area where you can buy animals and pets in addition to pet care supplies. They have mice, fish, small animals, puppies and more.
Music & Education
School of Rock is a performance-based music school offering guitar, drum, piano, bass and vocal lessons. The first lesson is always free. Grade Power Learning offers homework help and tutoring in math, reading, writing and more for students at grade level or above.
