“Dream Tour Bus” Coming to Cary on Friday

Dream Tour

Cary, NC — The Oola Dream Tour bus is coming to Cary this Friday, December 11, 2015 to collect the dreams of Cary people with thousands of stickers.

Dream Tour Comes to Cary

Yesterday, the Oola Dream Tour bus was in Wilmington, NC. Now, it’s headed our way. You can find the brightly-colored dream-collector at Duck Donuts in Cary (100 Wrenn Drive, near the Post Office) on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 11 am to 2 pm.

Cary residents can stop by the 1970 VW Surf Bus to write down, on a sticker, a goal or dream they hope to accomplish in life and slap it on the bus. The OolaDreamTour bus has been working its way down the east coast from D.C. and is aiming to reach people in all 50 states.

Max Amdahl from OolaLife, the organization behind this tour, told me what we can expect:

Annie Hawkins and Taylor LaGaurdia, members of our team, will be at Duck Donuts in Cary. They will be there to help provide stickers for each person there who wants to slap their dream on the VW bus. During the tour, all who see the bus are encouraged to write down, on a sticker that we provide, a goal or dream they hope to accomplish in 2016. Not the one thing they want to do, or the one thing they know they will do, but the one thing they know they need to do to live a more balanced life. That one thing that is holding them back from the life they dream of and deserve.

Why Duck Donuts? “In every city that we visit during our journey, we like to find fun, local spots to stop,” Max told me. “When someone slaps their dream on the bus, they are making a commitment to embrace change in their life.”

The tour was inspired from principles taught in the International Best-Selling book Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World. The book, co-authored by Troy Amdahl and Dave Braun, encourages readers to pursue their “OolaLife” by focusing on balancing and growing the seven key areas of life (fitness, finance, family, field/career, faith, friends and fun).

“The OolaDreamTour kicked off in southern California,” Max told me. “Troy and Dave took the bus up the California coast and, within a couple weeks, the Oola Dream Tour bus was completely covered with thousands of people’s dreams.”
